Client:   FLIR Systems, Inc.
Objective:  Establish, and create content for, a bimonthly newsletter devoted to airborne law enforcement (ALE).  The newsletter should cover topics of interest to this market, while confirming the need for infrared systems in the ALE market.
Result:
We expanded initial issues from a four-page newsletter to a six-page glossy publication.  Interest in the publication grew rapidly, with subscriber rolls jumping from 400 to over 800 throughout 2002/2003.  Additional issues can be viewed at

Client: FLIR Systems, Inc.
Objective:
Introduce FLIR’s SeaFLIR maritime infrared camera to the mega-yacht market with an ad in Show Boats magazine. The ad should help create brand awareness in this new market.
Result: The copy appealed to the pursuit of distinction that is key to this constituency. By highlighting that the system was hitherto only available to the military, the ad motivated yacht owners to be the first to have the technology on their vessel. The ad was a great success, helping generate important relationships with key integrators and more than a dozen sales leads.

Client:  Self Enhancement, Inc.
Objective:
Respond to the Portland Public Schools' alleged unfair dealings with Portland's Jefferson High School.  We convinced this inner-city non-profit that an op-ed would be a great answer and The Oregonian a perfect venue.
Result:
The op-ed appeared in the Sunday Oregonian, and helped open a dialogue between the client and Portland Public Schools.  It also prompted discussion among newspaper readers, as reflected in the numerous editorial responses to the op-ed.  The client was thrilled with both the tone of the piece and the attention it generated.
