Client:  Hollywood Video
Objective:
Draft punchy, funny copy to introduce Hollywoodvideo.com’s new personalized online Wish List service. This copy would appear online and in Hollywood Video’s two newsletters. As each publication deals with a slightly different constituency, two versions – one conservative, one edgy – were required.
Result:
A few dozen copy options were created for each targeted audience. The client loved the copy. Use of the material is ongoing and generating new subscribers to Hollywood Video's evolving personalized online services. Other work with Hollywood Video was secured on the strength of this initial project.
Client:  FLIR Systems, Inc.
Objective:
  Create content for FLIR’s public web site, flir.com. This included updating existing copy, drafting new materials, and uploading attending imagery and video.
Result:  Content was created or updated to reflect current product lines, features/benefits and product functionality.  Outdated navigational elements were removed and the site experience simplified in advance of a complete site redesign and relaunch.


 

 

Client:  Anvil
Objective:
  Write articles or other written pieces that inform and/or entertain on a given monthly topic for Anvil, a popular online magazine.
Result:  Contributions to the ezine varied widely in scope and purpose, ranging from humorous journalistic pieces like “bike week” to novel interpretations of the monthly theme like the “Mafia Mad Libs” and the very popular “Personals” spoof.  These pieces have been enormously received well, prompting favorable reviews from readers around the world.

 

 

Client:   adidas
Objective:
  Create punchy product descriptions (i.e., no more than 145 characters in length) for a host of products being added to adidas' expanding online store.
Result:
  The client was so pleased with the results, the job was expanded to include over 500 products, ranging from swimsuits to cycling shoes.

 


 

Client:   Debit-It!
Objective:
  Develop content for a new Web site to reflect the revised focus and direction of this online debit payment company.  The attendant goal was to leverage the new site to promote additional investment interest.
Result:
  The client was very pleased with the site, finding the content leaner and more easily navigable than they had originally thought possible.  The site has since become an important piece in the company's client-building and investment-generating efforts.

 

 

Client:   KVO Public Relations
Objective:
  Create content for a new Web site that more accurately reflects the company's new focus and direction, as well its new branding designs.
Result:
  The new site (www.kvo.com) was a hit with employees and clients alike, illustrating both the agency's core competencies and, by the copy's irreverent tone, its unique culture.  The site helped generate interest in KVO, leading in 2000 to the agency being purchased.
